Generating Leads – New Solutions for Network Marketing Challenges

Category : Internet Marketing, Make Money, Network Marketing

Have you tried those old school marketing techniques for your network marketing business to no avail?  You know, the whole handing out flyers, setting up hotel meetings, 3-foot rule approach method, etc.

Having been in Network Marketing for several years, I was trained on these methods early and often.  I faithfully made my list of 50-100 people that I knew.  Next, I would call each and every one of them offering the ability to be a part of my team and earn some extra money with a home based business.

The majority of responses I received included being hung up on, accused of running a scam and other forms of rejection.

After I had gone through my entire list, my upline sponsors simply told me keep approaching the same people again, give out more flyers, find more strangers to talk to, on and on.

My business was floundering and I began to fall into the trap of saying that Network Marketing didn’t work.

But then I realized that my approach was all wrong.  Instead of just approaching random people, why not have the right people approach me?  By right people, I mean people that are interested in making extra money or want to start their own business.

See, part of the problem I was facing was trying to convince people that they COULD make extra money from home and have their own home based business.   Or, I also had to explain the benefits of Network Marketing to them and go against the negative mindset some have towards the industry.

So what did I do?  Quite simply, I just began to share information about my successes and failures in the industry.  By marketing my opportunity over the internet, I was able to present information for which people were already looking.  So now, people that were looking for ways to make money from home were contacting me.  Folks that were in Network Marketing but needed a change and wanted a sponsor that knew how to train and develop them, were calling me.

Once I stopped hounding people, I started to have people contact me for information on my opportunity.

Oh yeah, and those friends and family that I used to hound?  Yeah, some of them are now contacting me to find out what I’m doing as a business now.

Currently my team, which has helped over 75 people retire in the last 2.5 years is gearing up for a pre-launch of a new company.  We are looking for people that want to get involved early and have the potential to make $2-5000/month as an early adopter of of company.  If you want to work with a leader on a new venture that will be pre-launching soon, email me at kevin@kevincrawley.com

How You Can Generate An Endless Supply of Leads

If you are in business of any kind, whether it is Network Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Insurance, Retail, or whatever, your business relies on leads.  Your business will not grow without new people frequently taking a look at the product or service that you offer.

The most difficult part of generating new leads is knowing where to start.  Some people buy leads.  These leads can vary from old recycled leads, that EVERYONE has seen, to fresh verified leads.  The leads can be very expensive depending on just how fresh they are.

Then when you get those leads, how many of them are actually interested in doing business with you?

Out of 10 leads, you may get one.  Which is great, don’t get me wrong!  But what happens next?  Yep, you go back and purchase more leads.  Again, one out of ten AND there you go purchasing more leads.

STOP THE CYCLE!

Lead sellers will probably hate me, but promise me that you will never buy another lead again!

Now, you may be saying…”But how can I get more leads unless I pay someone to get them for me?”

My friend, here ya go…

Harness the power of the internet to bring people to you.   Now, we don’t just want everybody to come.  Nope, we want the targeted traffic of people that are looking for what you have to offer.

First, you should be working with a website that has been optimized for the search engines.

For a refresher, head over to my article on SEO for Blogs

Now get your link out there.  If you are marketing a dog training manual, go to the sites where people are discussing dogs and how to train them.  Participate in any discussions.  Become an expert in that community.  Make sure that your profile signature and any forum postings you make, include your website address.

Write articles on dog training and post them on sites like ArticleBase.com or GoArticles.com.

Find other blogs that are discussing dog training and make RELEVANT comments on their sites.

The actions outlined above, are some of the same things that I did for a particular site almost a year ago.  I was promoting a particular upcoming service for a company.  With all of my optimization in place, I rose to the top of the search engine results.  And there I remain to this day.  Do I still get calls and emails that were generated from that website regarding that service?  Yep, I still do.

Now here’s the kicker…I haven’t posted anything on that site since September 18th of 2009.  If done right, the actions you take today can continue to pay off for days, weeks, months and years to come.

I was gonna cover this in a separate article, but will mention it since this is related.   Additionally, you can get the right tools that will keep a supply of leads accessible.  I recently came across a tool that is sure to take your my generation of leads to whole other level.  I watched as this software pulled over 1500 targeted leads across the country  based upon a keyword.  Don’t take my word for it…watch it in action.  Lead Generation will never be the same.

See the point is…you can generate leads for free by just making the effort.  Remember, internet marketing kinda falls in line with the old riddle.  ”How do you eat an elephant…one bite at a time.”

How do you succeed in business and gain new customers?  Simply take one day at a time and just do it!

5 Tips for Establishing Your Brand

1

Category : Branding

Alright…quick quiz.  I’ll give a slogan…you identify the company.

  1. Broiling beats frying
  2. The Choice of a new generation
  3. Don’t Leave Home without it
  4. Melts in your mouth not in your hands

Now, let’s check your answers…

  1. Burger King
  2. Pepsi
  3. American Express
  4. M&Ms

Each of these companies and thousands/millions of others have an identifiable brand.  Either a phrase or an image that is designed to automatically remind the viewer/listener of the company or product.

As a Network or Internet Marketer, it is vital for you to create a brand.

Should your brand be your company? NO!!!

What is the best brand for you?  Your brand is looking you in the face every morning…YOU!

Here are 5 tips for establishing your brand.

  1. Secure your brand – If you are going to market in this day and age, you must use the internet.  The first step in securing your brand is to register your name as a domain name.  If your name is already taken as a .com, look at using a .info, .net, .us, etc.  Or place a hyphen in the domain (ex. www.kevin-crawley.com)
  2. Be consistent – In establishing your brand, you won’t see results on Day 1.  However, if you keep sending the same consistent branding message you will find that people begin to remember you.  Use the same picture on all of the sites where your picture is posted.   If you have long hair in one picture but short hair in another, at first glance I may not see you as the same person.  To take it a step further, ever notice how I close all of my posts and emails?  “Success and Blessings”, that is part of my consistent brand message.
  3. Be reachable – People need to know how to contact or follow you.  If you don’t have a Twitter/MySpace/Facebook account…stop right now (actually finish this blog, LOL!) and go get one or all of these.  Your brand means nothing if people cannot find you.  Social networks provide you with an opportunity to be in contact with millions of people around the world.
  4. Produce your own content – You are a unique individual.  How you communicate differs from everyone else on the planet.  To think that you have nothing to contribute is selling yourself short.  You have experiences and skills that someone else will find beneficial.  Take that information and turn it into ebooks, podcasts, blogs, etc.
  5. Promote your brand – How do you promote your brand?  Be yourself!  People want to work with people they trust.  Trust is gained over time.  So allow people to get to know you.  Don’t spend every conversation trying to sell them.  If you branding (you) is solid enough, they will be asking you how they can buy from or work with you.

Remember…You are unique.  You have something valuable to contribute to the world.  Let us know who you are!

Success and Blessings,

Kevin
